Join a Chamber Committee or volunteer!

The Chamber relies on the expertise of our members to continue our mission of attracting, developing, promoting and retaining local businesses through communication, networking, training and program development as well as influencing public policy and communicating legislative issues and their impacts on local businesses. Participating in committees helps fulfill our mission, plus allows our members to grow professionally and develop lasting relationships with other business leaders. All meetings are held in the Chamber Boardroom unless otherwise noted.

Standing Committees

	Ambassadors Generates goodwill among present and potential members and the community. This group participates in most Chamber events and activities (greeters, registration table, raffle ticket sellers, bartenders when needed, etc.)
	Business/Economic Development Addresses special economic concerns of the business community. This committee makes specific recommendations to City government on business-related issues.
	Education Coordinates the Youth Education Motivation Program (YEMP), Careers for Kids, and the Foster Grandparent Program. This committee also assists Cathedral City High School with their annual Career Day event.
	Legislative Affairs Monitors and evaluates local, regional, state and federal legislation and its impact on the business community. They meet with legislators and local officials to foster strong communications and share information.

	Golf Tournament – meets September through December
	Orion Awards – meets October through January Celebrates Cathedral City’s Business & Community Achievements
	Golden Apple Awards - meets December through March Celebrates excellence in education
	Office Volunteer - assists in the Visitor’s Center and with general office duties on an as-needed basis
	Newsletter Mailing - helps assemble the monthly newsletter
